Accommodations

We wanted to keep things as worry free and fun as possible so we've selected The Loews Hotel Kansas City as our official accommodation for our wedding week.

The Loews Hotel is one of Kansas City's newest gems with guest amenities that include a top of the line saltwater pool, spa, gym, and multiple restaurants.

It also happens to be conveniently nestled in downtown Kansas City which makes it just 5 minutes away from our wedding venue and 5 minutes away from our welcome dinner venue! What can we say, we're New Yorkers and we like short commutes.

We will be staying at the Loews the entire week of the wedding.

Whether you've come from abroad and staying for the weekend or you live locally but prefer not to drive back and forth after all the cocktails and dancing - we've secured a select number of rooms for you at a special discounted rate so that you can kick back and relax at The Loews Hotel Kansas City too!

There are a limited number of rooms available at our discounted rate and they will go on a first come first serve basis. All discounted rates will be unavailable after May 15th.

Click Here to Book Online (If you prefer to call them be sure to say our name so that you get the discounted rate). You're too cute to pay full price.

For a stress free morning the day of the wedding, we ask that all members of the bridal party stay at the Loews Hotel the night before the wedding.

Things to Do

Aside from being a great sports town(#SuperBowlChampions),  Kansas City also boasts a long jazz heritage, an up-and-coming arts scene, a variety of restaurants serving classic KC cuisine (BBQ, anyone?), and, surprisingly, a ton of fountains.

Kansas city is rich with history and culture. Here are some popular things to see and do while you're in town.

The National WWI Museum and Memorial

This renowned museum houses the world’s second-largest collection of World War I artifacts behind Britain’s Imperial War Museum.

The Country Club Plaza

Modeled after architecture in Seville, Spain, the Country Club Plaza opened in 1922 as America's first outdoor shopping district. That distinct architecture is still on display today, adding old-world flair to the Heart of America.

Negro Leagues Baseball Museum in the 18th & Vine Historic Jazz District.

The Kansas City Monarchs played baseball in the Negro National League, where they won an unprecedented 10 league championships and the Negro League World Series in 1924 and 1942. After Monarch Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in 1947 by joining the Brooklyn Dodgers, the club would go on to send more Negro Leagues players to the MLB than any other team, including other all-time greats Satchel Paige and Ernie Banks.

Boulevard Brewery

This little craft-brewery-that-could is now one of the largest in the Midwest. Learn about the incredible history of this native-to-Kansas-City company and its brewing process on a 60-minute tour that ends with free beer.

Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art

Opened in 1933, the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art is a free-to-visit testament to Kansas City’s creative culture—and features more than 35,000 works encompassing 5,000-plus years of human history.

The Golden Ox

Opened in 1949 in the Kansas City Livestock Exchange Building, this restaurant is credited with inventing the KC strip steak— sometimes called the “New York Strip”—and was frequented by presidents Harry S. Truman and Dwight D. Eisenhower. The restaurant lives on today in the hip West Bottoms district as a reimagined ode to its glorious past.

Crown Center

Hallmark, the largest greeting card maker in the world, was founded in KC in 1910 when J.C. Hall began selling postcards out of two shoeboxes at the local YMCA. Today, Hallmark still calls Kansas City home, and travelers can experience the magic of the company through interactive displays and exhibits at the Hallmark Visitors Center in Crown Center.

Fun Fact:

Walt Disney attended art school in Kansas City. He then opened his very first animation company, Laugh-O-Gram Studio, in Kansas City, where he fed a small rodent that became the inspiration for Mickey Mouse.
